Cats and Geisha ... inspiring Japan

mother and children...and cat too

Inspired by my two daughters, Bex and Libby and my cat Rosy, I painted this poignant yet whimsical scene of mother reading a bedtime story to her children. And everyone fell asleep except the cat! My love of pattern and design runs rampant in this richly textured painting.
